This baked ziti is always a hit and everyone loves it. Now, we're going to make it.
Ingredients
1 pound dry ziti pasta
6 ounces provolone cheese, sliced
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
2 (26 ounce) jars spaghetti sauce
1 onion, chopped
1 pound lean ground beef
6 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded
1 1/2 cups sour cream
Directions
Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil, and then Add ziti pasta, and cook until al dente, about 8 minutes, then drain.
In a large skillet, put brown onion and ground beef over medium heat. Add spaghetti sauce, and then simmer about 15 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F or 175 degrees C. Use a 9x13 inch butter tin. Arrange in layers as follows: 1/2 of the ziti, provolone cheese, sour cream, 1/2 of the sauce mixture, remaining ziti, mozzarella cheese and remaining sauce mixture. Then sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
Bake the dough for 30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until cheeses are melted. Your baked ziti is ready to be served.
